Entries to the film festival have now closed, Triumphant would like to thank all contributing filmmakers who submitted their work for the
film festival.
The main Sydney screening will involve simultaneous screens with each film translated into 4 - 6 languages. We have now begun the
exciting phase of translating and subtitling each of the films. Please watch this space for the final list of translated languages.

In 2008, with your help, we will be working to host this festival and other screenings all around Australia. We are seeking volunteers from all backgrounds to fill the following roles:
On Saturday the 29th of September 2007 a bunch of young refugees came together to bring their personal stories to life on the big screen. This group participated in a series of filmmaking workshops that introduced them to the basics of story development, script writing, video and editing techniques.
Following the three weekends of intensive workshops the participants will have the opportunity to team up with an industry mentor who will assist them in taking all their learned skills and creating a short film around the theme of celebrating the triumphs of refugees.
The intention is that the films created will be screened at the 2nd annual Refugee Film Festival that will take place during Refugee Awareness Week in June 2008.
Our aim is to team each refugee up with industry professional mentors and experienced production crew to assist them with their short films. We are looking for people in a range of areas such as production management, camera, lighting, editing, sound composition, animation, etc.
